Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What will I learn?

A: At your first lesson, I will get to know you and find out what styles you are interested in. We will develop a plan to work towards the goal of learning the music you love. You will also learn the basics to build a strong foundation so that you will have the skills to play whatever music that interests you. After building that strong foundation, we will work towards your own personal goals.

Q: What musical styles do you teach?

A: I teach most styles including rock, folk, jazz, blues, country, classical and more. I believe that students should develop the knowledge and skills to be able to play any style of music.

Q: What are your qualifications?

A: I got my musical education at Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory in Boston, MA; I have been performing throughout New England playing rock, jazz, blues, country, folk and classical music since the 1970's; I have been teaching private music lessons since 1982; and I have taught over 500 students through the years.
